Glittery Pink Money Wallet

MyTheresa has gotten in this very interesting version of the Money wallet.  It is made with glittery pink leather! As if it couldn't be blingy enough, they've used shiny silver hardware rather than their traditional aged brass hardware.  The price is € 365,00 or ~ $511 USD.  This type of leather is very reminiscent to the 2005 Metallics they've released which also came in a light pink color.

My take:

This is very cute and will add a fun pop of color in your purse.  I like the girly pink, but it also reminds me of Pepto Bismol. lol.

Though I love the look of their wallets, I just can't get over how dingy and worn they can look after long periods of use.  I have an Aquamarine Real Coin Wallet that I've only used once because I'm afraid of dirtying it. So maybe this new glitter leather will be more sturdy than the traditional agneau leather.  A brand that is great for investing in wallets would have to be Louis Vuitton; their coated canvas is almost indestructible! I'm currently carrying my Azur Koala Wallet in my City right now! :)

  2. I think the silver glitter on the pink leather makes it look a little on the dingy side.

  4. i saw this at neiman marcus in short hills nj. not the wallet, but in papier totes. the glitter looks like it flakes off really easy and will look distressed quickly.

  5. Hey C! Thanks for the insider info! :) Ohh, they made a Papier tote with this type of leather, I'd love to see this! That stinks to hear that it might flake off, I have a Stardust pencil and the corners are starting to rub a teeny bit. Beautiful to look at, but the upkeep is tricky. lol.

  6. The "glittery pink" in the post title got my hopes up. But in the pics, it looks... well sorta like something Barbie would use lol.
